Privacy Policy

CH Assurance PAC and its affiliates (“CH”) are committed to ensure the protection and confidentiality of personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore. This PDPA policy outlines our practices concerning the collection, use, disclosure, and management of personal data.

 

1. Collection of Personal Data

 

We collect personal data only for purposes that are reasonable and appropriate in the circumstances, and we obtain consent from individuals (or authorised representative) before collecting their personal data, except where permitted by law.

 

2. Use of Personal Data

 

We use personal data solely for purposes that individuals (or authorised representative) have been informed of and consented to, or as permitted or required by law.

 

We may collect and use personal data for any or all of the following purposes:

 

  • Managing relationships and communication effectively;

  • Conducting due diligence; 

  • Performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the services requested;

  • Complying with any applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, rules or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental and/ or regulatory authority;

  • Job recruitments, employments, payroll and for HR purposes; and

  • Any other incidental business purpose related to or in connection with the above.


 

3. Disclosure of Personal Data

 

We may disclose personal data where such disclosure is required for performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of services requested.

 

The purposes of collecting and using of personal data listed above may continue to apply even in situations where the relationship with us has been terminated (e.g. pursuant to a contract) or altered in any way, for a reasonable period thereafter.

 

4. Protection of Personal Data

 

We implement appropriate security measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. We regularly review and enhance our security measures to ensure the ongoing protection of personal data.

 

5. Accuracy of Personal Data

 

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that personal data collected by us is accurate and up-to-date.

 

In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data by informing our Data Protection Officer via email at the contact details provided below.

 

6. Retention of Personal Data

 

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. We take reasonable steps to securely dispose of or anonymise personal data that is no longer needed.

 

7. Access to Personal Data

 

Upon request, we provide individuals (or authorised representative) with access to their personal data held by us, and we allow them to request the correction of any inaccuracies or incompleteness in their personal data.

 

You can request to access to personal data (your own or on behalf of other individual) by sending email to Data Protection Officer. We will provide you with the relevant personal data within thirty (30) days from such a request being made. Where a request cannot be complied with the time frame, we will inform you of the reasonably soonest time in which we will respond.

 

We may charge for a request to access in accordance with the requirements of the PDPA.

 

8. Request to Withdraw Consent

 

You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use and/ or disclosure of your personal data in our possession or under our control by submitting your request to Data Protection Officer.

 

We will process your request within thirty (30) days from such a request for withdrawal of consent being made, and will thereafter not collect, use and/ or disclose your personal data in the manner stated in your request.

 

However, your withdrawal of consent could impact our ability to provide service effectively or comply with legal obligations. We will inform individuals (or authorised representative) of any consequences of withdrawing consent, including any limitations on the services that we can provide.

 

9. Complaints and Enquiries

 

Individuals may contact us with any concerns or questions about our PDPA compliance.

 

10. Updates to this Policy

 

We may update this PDPA policy from time to time without any prior notice. You can determine if such revision has taken place by referring to the date on which this PDPA was last update.
